 Donnie,
I've really enjoyed using the spotsticker since you explained to me how best to use it!  The spotsticker has been producing more smallies for me than anything else; although I have definitely caught a number of spots and largemouth as well.  Got two smallies over 3lbs on Wednesday!!  They're a blast on light tackle/line when they strip out the drag on their runs!  Thanks again and maybe we'll go out sometime down there!

Just thought I would pass a little note on to you. I fished the SuperBass tournament Saturday on Lanier. My fish had been deep for the most part. We worked on various holes and finally

around 1:30 decided to move back towards the coves and try shallow water. We had been killing them on Senko's but even they would not work in the shallows. I went back to my go to bait (SpotSticker!!!!) and within the next hour managed to come up with five plus to culling fish to end up with 9.30lbs and 3rd place!

Just wanted to say thanks again for making a great jig head! With some past advise from you and Ryan I've become pretty good with the SpotSticker and it has saved me several times.

God Bless and have a great Spring!

Greetings!

I was one of the guys with the Cobb County Ga club that didn't

catch much on Saturday as the crankbait bite went bellyup with

the heavy rains on Friday night. When I saw you at our weigh in, it

kind of clicked on my mind that I needed to go a small jig/worm for

our day 2 on Sunday. The only rig that I had was a old fiberglass 7

foot rod ( an old Clunn crankbait rod that sucked as a casting rod)

that had an old cardinal 4 with 6 lbs test line on it. Using a 1/8 oz

slider with a 4 inch worm on Sunday I kill the fish in shallow water

and walked away with first place with over 10 lbs (four of them

football sized spots), with the biggest one pushing 4 lbs. Also I

didn't know it at the time but our Saturday winner with over 9 lbs

used your 3/16 oz spotsticker jighead with a zoom fitness worm. I

had lots of fun with such light line. I noted on your website that you

guys have rods for sell. I think I will find some spare bills and buy

me one of your 7 foot rods since we fish a lot of spot lakes and

most of the guys in the club live and die with the carolina rig fitness

worm. This weekend was a wakeup call for my spring time fishing

techniques. Time to learn something new!

My friends in Bama (Donnie & Glen):
3/27/03
I know by now, after all of the business I have sent you, both of you
guys are millionaires, probably basking on the sunny beaches of the
Bahamas!
Just wanted to drop you a line (no pun intended) to say thanks for
your friendship and for introducing me to your Spotsticker products.
The Spotsticker put me in 4th place (Co-angler division) in the
Everstart Eastern tournament at Lake Martin in February 2003 and is credited
for my 15th place finish (back seat competition) at the BAMA BFL on Martin
in March 2003. In fact, I think I might have converted my boating partner at
the Martin BFL to the Spotsticker. Just as we classify some baits by
shape or presentation method ("stick-baits", "crankbaits", "jerk-baits",
etc.), my partner initially wanted (jokingly) to classify the Spotsticker as
a "sissy" bait. Two limits (and a few culls) later, I think he was ready to
start calling it a MR. Sissy bait and before the day was over, I believe,
(secretly anyway), he was calling it a confidence bait!
I will be field testing your new Spotsticker Spinnerbaits (SSB) at
Eufaula and at Santee-Cooper over the next couple of weeks. If the SSBs are
as productive as the Spotsticker Jig, don't worry about shipping my next
order - I'll send a tandem dump to pick it up!

Good fishing, Good health and God Bless our troops who are laying
their lives on the line to protect and preserve the freedoms we enjoy in
this great country in which we live!

Donnie,

It’s been a year since I last fished Lake Martin. However I still had a good supply of your Spotsticker jigs in both 3/0 and 4/0 sizes. My club (Pensacola Hawg Hunters), held a tournament there the weekend of March 22, 2003. With a BFL event going out of Wind Creek, I decided to fish in the lower areas of the lake. I had only fished there once before. However I found fish in the coves and on docks. I was the only one in our club to weigh in limits on both days of our tournament. I also won it. Every fish I caught on Saturday was on the Spotsticker and several of my fish on Sunday came on the "sticker". Several other members were using the Spotsticker and they caught good fish also. My partner didn’t want to try one and opted to fish T-rigs. He only had 2 fish on Sat. Just wanted to let you know that the Spotsticker came through again for me. Thanks for the info you share in your posts. It is really helpful to those of us who don’t have much experience in those waters.

Fished an Everstart Eastern division tourney at Lake Martin this past week and fishing was good. Having never been to Lake Martin or fished for spotted bass I enlisted the help of Donnie Sims and Glen Hamer of D&G SPOTSTICKER BAITS. Donnie and Glen were instrumental in turning me onto the jighead worm technique or Alabama rig, with it and a few other baits and excellent pro's I was able to put together some solid weights as a co-angler and finish in 7th place. I wanted to take the time to thank the guys, who went as far, to even clue me in to plastic colors that worked, even though they were fishing the tourney themselves. The guys offer a number of jigheads that get the job done. The 4/0 widegap 3/16th with a green gourd or green pumpkin worked for me like a charm. So if your looking for a light wire jighead that gives you a longer shank or your headed to a spotted bass impoundment get in touch with the guys at SPOTSTICKER.COM. Guys thank you agian for the advise and unselfish sharing of information, your the best and thank you again for all your help...gone fishing

I justed wanted to make a comment on the Ever Start at Lake Martin. I had a wonderful tournament and was truly Blessed! I wound up finishing 6th overall in the boater division. Before I left for AL from NC I talked to Glenn Hammer and Donnie Sims about there Spotsticker jigheads. I ordered 50 and Donnie sent them to me. As I was ordering them over the phone I had my credit card out getting ready to give Donnie my credit card number. The only thing he wanted was my address. He didn't ask for any money. He told me to send him a check when I got the jigheads. You don't see this much in the world we live in. I used the jigheads at Martin and caught 98% of my fish on them. I was fishing points, drops and brushpiles in 20' to 25' of water and combining the jighead with a Zoom Green Pumpkin fineese worm. I also got the opportunity to meet Glen and Donnie at the tournament. I was very impressed with there jighead, but even more impressed with Glenn and Donnie. They are top notch people. If you are heading to Lake Martin get you some Spotsticker Jigheads and go have some fun! God Bless and Good Fishing,

Joe Nichols, Jr.

I too ordered 50 spotsticker jigs and was also impressed with the promptness of my order and the willingness to send me a bill along with the jigs (no credit card needed). These guys are top notch people and sell a first quality product. I recommend them highly!!

Thanks for the prompt shipment.

The jigs worked great. Went to Martin on Monday, located some fish on a

point, and was getting some reluctant bites on a carolina rig.

Switched to the spotsticker and started catching 3 or 4 to 1 against the CR - using the same zoom finesse worm. Several time, the spots would just pick the jig up while it was motionless on the bottom. Would up catching 25 or so. It would take 7-8 casts to get a CR bite. I could get a bite on the

spotsticker usually within 2-3 casts. Couple of my club buddies were pre-fishing as well and neither of them caught a limit!! Quite an amazing little

lure. I have a club tournament next Monday on Martin. After it's over I may get you some more customers!!!

Donnie,

haven't talked for a while. Checked out your website tonight. The changes look good.  The pics of your trip with Scott look like you guys had a good day. We fished Lay on the 12th and 19th of Oct. Won both tournaments. Topwater on the 12th (5 @ 8.50) Texas rig on the 19th (5 @ 8.92) Culled three on the 19th with the Spotsticker. Had a football spot doing his best to take the bait away from a 2'lber. That's enough to make you lose your mind. Headed off to Jordan this weekend. We killed 'em this spring up there on the heads. Hopefully we can get that bite going again. I guess you guys will be at martin for the B.A.S.S.  I  met Rufus Johnson this summer on a cruise down in the Bahamas. He won the tournament on martin in '99. Anyway, I told him about the Spotsticker and gave him your website. Did you ever hear from him? Well, I'll let you know how it goes on Jordan. Good luck to Glen this weekend and good fishing to you. Take care, Scott

Donnie,

just wanted to thank you for all your help on Logan Martin. I finished 4th with 12.23lbs. That last fish I missed on Friday cost me 2nd place. 1st  place won with a little over 15lbs. He had a good catch on Friday. I caught 99% of my fish on the Spotsticker and a green pumpkin worm. My biggest lm was caught on a #7 SHAD RAP along the piers across from Chocolocco off the main river. We fished from there down to the 34 bridge the majority of the day. My partner only had 1 keeper for both days. Not being a boater really hurt me but I did well out of the back of the boat to say that I really had no say so on what areas we fished. Did manage to fish Clear Creek on FRIDAY  but couldn't get any hits. Ended up trying to fish the ledge but he didn't go all the way back to that dock. That wind was really blowing. Now I don't know where Jack Williams caught his fish but he had a little over 23lbs to take the $10,000 1st place prize on the boater side. 2nd place caught his fish on a SB up in the river. 3rd and 4th place caught their fish in the back of Chocolocco creek. I look forward to coming back there again 1 weekend just to enjoy the lake. Thanks so much for your time and assistance. It means so much and you are truly blessed.

Hey buddy!
This is the guy you lent the rods, bait, and jigheads (you made) to during
the classic. I really appreciate you letting us borrow them, we had fun and
up until today...to be be honest....... I never liked jigs because of the
small hooks ,but i'll be usin these suckers!!I promise to keep ya up to
date on my progress. If your 7 year old son can catch em like that one after the other than maybe I can to or he might just be better than me...hehehehe

March 18, 2002 Scott Pawlik - Lake Martin
DONNIE, HERES THE REPORT I PROMISED FROM MARTIN WITH THE SPOTSTICKER. PUT IN ABOUT 5:45 in a THICK FOG SO HAD TO STAY SOUTH TILL ABOUT 11:30. FISHED IN ROCK BRANCH TILL WE COULD GO NORTH. PICKED UP SIX KEEPERS IN THERE. GOT UP TOWIND CREEK AND FISHED THE LEDGE ON THE LEFT AND THEN CROSSED OVER TO THE RIGHT SIDE AND FISHED OUR WAY OUT TO THE LAST POINT. CAUGHT SEVEN KEEPERS DOING THIS.ELEVEN OF THE THIRTEEN CAME ON THE SPOTSTICKER. MY PARTNER, WHO HAD NEVER HEARD OF A SPOTSTICKER, WON THE TOURNAMENT ON A BORROWED ONE! (MINE) BEST FIVE WEIGHED ABOUT 10.5 lbs. DONNIE, AS YOU ALREADY KNOW, THESE HEADS WORK. ALTHOUGH I MISSED SECOND PLACE BY A POUND, WE STILL GOT FIRST, THIRD, LUNKER, AND BOAT POT ALL ON THE STICKER. NOT BAD FOR TRYING A NEW BAIT. I HAVE TO ADMIT WE STAYED WITH BAITCASTERS AND TWELVE POUND TEST. (Something about those spinning rods) ANYWAY, THANKS FOR GETTING THOSE HEADS TO ME AND I'LL BE PLACING ANOTHER ORDER SOON. GOOD FISHING!

P.S.WHEN ARE YOU FISHING LAY? I'VE ONLY BEEN THERE TWICE, BUT WON BOTH TOURNAMENTS. IF I COULD BE OF ANY HELP LET ME KNOW!

Donnie,
Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how I did in our club tourney 3/23/24 at Martin. First day was tough for me. Just managed 2 for the weigh in but did lose a very large fish off a bed. The only bedding fish I saw all weekend. Sunday I8 was able to cull 3 spots and had a limit for 9.2 lbs. 2 nice spots and a lm on the sticker and 2 lm on t-rig. 1 fish on green pumpkin finesse and the others on kudzu finesse. I thoroughly enjoyed fishing the spotsticker. It WILL become one of my favorite ways to fish. Went on the Tensaw River (Mobile) Sat AM and caught 5 on the sticker gourd green in a clear creek. Thanks again for all your help. I plan on fishing the Children's Harbor Tournament on May 4-5 at Martin. Fished it last year and had a great time. Maybe I'll see you there. Oh yeah, I'll try to get hold of the pics from the tournament and I'll send you mine. I'm holding 4 fish and 3 came on the sticker! If you have the time look up the Pensacola Blue Angels Bass Page. I write a monthly report there. Also that's where I'll get hte pic from.

Good Fishin'
John

Hey Donnie, Just wanted to let you know how I did. Finished 2nd with 5 fish @6.44lbs. Only managed 3 spots and 2 LM. It was a rather tough outing for everyone. 12 or 13lbs (Pat Fisher) was the winning weight on the Pro side. (lbs won the Co-Angler side. 1st place winnings was $7000. Didn't have enough entries to give away the Ranger. Overall, I did manage 3 good spots about 2 1/2 lbers on Friday. I couldn't get them to hit the gourd green worm, I got all my bites on the watermelonseed worm. We didn't fish Wind Creek that much yesterday. Just a few pockets. Thursday and friday Gary an I went all the way in the back of Wind Creek and found some schooling Hybrids and Stripers. The LM were running with them but the LM bite was slow. Really not too many bedding bass. There were fish on the beds but not as many as we expected. Lots of fry. Gary chose to fish most of the areas he fished when he won there last year. Thanks for all your assistance. I did give your D&G Spotsticker a little TV spot during my interview. It should be aired within the next 2 weeks on AnglersParadise on FoxSports Net. I look forward to returning to Lake Martin next year. I think next for us in Al is the P.O.C.O Classic on Logan Martin in September and Lake Wheeler in October. I will continue to use the spotsticker for the rest of the season. We fish Lake Sinclair on JUNE 8th. Good Luck to you and your product. There was some talk from some guys who thought about the spotsticker but chose not to try it. I'm hooked and hope to have some pictures soon. please keep in touch to keep me up to date on your products.Until later,

Greg Littles

I have read about your product on the internet for sometime, but I honestly thought it would be like all of the other products that I have bought off of the television or the internet. I went to Logan Martin last weekend for a club tournament and thought that since I was close to Lucky's tackle that I would pick up a pack, and I did. I just knew that it would not work, but almost as soon as I started throwing it I started catching fish. I caught 4 solid keepers that day on the spotsticker that day when it seemed like no thing else was working and I just came from neely henry today and caught a limit on the spotsticker. needless to say, I am now hooked on the spotstick er and I have to have some more. the spotsticker is a real winner.
